“Help Wanted: an examination of new media skills required by the top US news companies” was declared the best abstract submitted by the WJEC panel of international judges.
Deb Wenger – attending WJEC on behalf of her two co-authors Lynn C Owens and Kristene Trever – will take up the prize awarded to the winning paper.
She has two nights at River Lodge, Kariega game reserve, during 8-9th July 2010. Kariega has spectacular scenery and wildlife, including lion and elephant, as well areas where viewers can walk amongst buck, zebra and excellent bird life. The park is just 30 minutes drive from Grahamstown. Send your abstract before 1 December.
By the way, when you book to come, give yourself leeway on either side of the Congress. That way, even though you didn’t win the Safari Prize for best paper, you can still enjoy what South African tourism has to offer – visit http://www.southafrica.net for options.
