Where to stay

Grahamstown is host to South Africa’s National Arts Festival, which attracts more than 40 000 attendees over its ten day duration. As such, the city is well adjusted to catering to visitors, and it provides many accommodation options that range from bed-and breakfast establishments, township home stays, guest houses, quality university residences, hotels and nearby safari ranch chalets.

NB: We have now reserved most available accommodation in Grahamstown, so we advise you to contact WJEC office for booking your accommodation. Or you can use the suggestions box on the left of the Home Page to advise us of your email address and requirements, and we’ll revert asap with options, costs, and date availability.

 

Please be aware that everyone who has contacted WJEC office/registered for accommodation has been provisioned for and organisers are now processing the relevant invoices and sending to all persons. Please do send your final travel itineraries to ensure that organisers match your accommodation reservation accordingly and should you not have received communication by end of May 2010, please do not hesitate to contact WJEC Office.

 

Please note that accommodation provision at present stands at over 300 beds for all the number of delegates expected, WJEC organisers at Rhodes University are currently emailing everyone on  database to inform them of accommodation allocations and subsequent to confirmation facilitate payment via bank transfer and/or credit card.
